Floating Docks Requests

1. Dock, including location of dock [which shall not be closer than twenty feet (20') to the side lot line], must be approved by the Lochaven Architectural Review Board prior to installation.
2. All docks must be floating and secured to avoid release by flood waters. Docks must be secured above the rip rap so as not to damage the lake liner. Docks may ONLY be secured at the shorline side and NO lateral stabilizing posts are permitted along the body of the dock or its gangplank.
3. Docks must be 16' x 8' (smaller or larger size docks are not permitted).
4. Deck area of dock must be one hundred and twenty-eight (128) square feet,
5. Gangplanks must be 16 feet in length and 4 feet in width. 
6. All dock components shall be white, light gray, beige, or natural in color and anchoring devices must be hidden.
7. Docks must have finished skirting.
8. Shore stations, boat lifts, enclosed and/or permanent coverings are not permitted.
9. Wood docks are not permitted. Materials such as composite, aluminum, or plastic are examples of permitted dock materials. 
10. All polyethylene or other buoyancy devices must be encased or otherwise concealed from sight.
